I really don't know how much of the country this commercial plays in, or if it's just the NYC area.

It's for an office supply company called "W. B. Mason". The commercial parodies the old detective dramas, such as DRAGNET. It's shot in B&W. The "W. B. Mason low price detectives" enter a warehouse to save the femme fatale from paying too much to the superstores.

As they enter the warehouse you can see a sign that says "MODERN SLIDE RULE".
