Today on AMC they are showing "Fantastic Voyage". Edmond O'bien uses
a pocket slide rule to calculate how far the tiny submersible will
travel while they stop the patient's heart. He fiddles with the rule
for a few seconds, then announces, "57 seconds". It's a small pocket
