I'm sure that to the makers, any slide rule looks "techie" -- of the
movie makers who are old enough to have used them, how many would have
ever used any but a Mannheim? Even in my college physics classes, I
never needed log-log scales. A polyphase or a versatrig would have
saved me a lot of work due to the folded scales (had I but known), but
I got by with the Post 1447.
