I saw an interview with Jean Auel today. She is the author of the
Earth's Children books, the latest which is the Shelters of Stone.
Among other topics, she was asked about her education. She repied that
she had studied mathematics (calculus, physics and other science
topics) and yes, she could use a slide rule.
