The above replica of Nestler 23 R belonged to Sergei Korolev, the Soviet rocket engineer, who put the first man into the Earth's orbit (pictured on the photograph together with Yuri Gagarin). The R-7 rocket, designed by Korolev, commonly known as "Soyuz", is still in use today, even by NASA.

Interestingly, the identical Nestler 23 R belonged to Wernher von Braun, the designer of V2 rockets, which were used against UK during World War II. He was also the father of the American space program.
